A Festival of all things Father Ted. Daytime entertainment and craic for all the family, and night-time entertainment for adults only.
Tickets include ALL events and activities on the relevant days and nights, including the Location Tour and tea and cakes at the Father Ted house (but not optional tours to Inis Oirr). Night time entertainment (after 9pm) is included in all adult day and weekend tickets. Adult tickets from €35.
Tickets on sale online here . Location tours including tea and cakes at the Father Ted festival only available as part of day and weekend tickets, purchased in advance. Tickets for the Lovely Girls event on Saturday night may be bought on the door for €10 (subject to availability).
Friday 1 May
2-6pm Location Bus Tours including tea at the Father Ted house. Meet at the BURREN HUB
8.30pm Chinese Reception with the Chinese Mayor of Kilfenora, Chinese snacks provided, at VAUGHANS PUB
9.30pm Music with the Spinmaster and quiz spot prizes for Father Ted experts at VAUGHANS PUB
Saturday 2 May
1pm to 6pm Location Bus Tours including tea and cakes at the Father Ted house, meet at the BURREN HUB
4pm-7pm games with Sister Attracta, including Brick Fada and Snakes and Ladders…at VAUGHANS PUB
8pm All Priests and Nuns karaoke and fancy dress contest with prizes, at NAGLES BAR
10pm Lovely Girls Contest (entrants welcome!) at VAUGHANS BARN
followed by DJ til late at VAUGHANS BARN
Sunday 3 May
1pm to 5pm Location Bus Tours including tea and cakes at the Father Ted house, meet at the BURREN HUB
5-7pm Live music with the ACOUSTIC NINJAS, on the Roundabout, at NAGLES BAR
8.30pm Golden Cleric Awards (entrants welcome!) in VAUGHANS PUB
9.30pm Live trad/country/bluegrass music and songs with the HAIRY BABIES, in VAUGHANS PUB (all musicians, singers and dancers are welcome!)
There will be optional tours on Saturday and Sunday 12.00 to Inis Oirr island, site of the wreck of the Plassey (weather dependent). €22, including ferry and shuttle from Kilfenora. Book the day before or by 11.30am on the day.
Getting Here: There is a scheduled Bus Eireann bus service to Kilfenora at 3pm from Ennis on Friday 1 May, and we will be running a private bus from Ennis bus/train station at 8pm on Friday 1 May. Return Bus Eireann bus on Monday at 9am or private bus on Monday at 1pm . Booking essential for private bus via the online booking system.
What to Wear?: The Burren Hub will be selling Father Ted related items all weekend (check shop window for opening times), including nuns and priests outfits, character masks, t-shirts and other fantastic items….
