THE FESTIVAL IN 2017 IS ON FRIDAY 28 April – SUNDAY 30 April 2016 in Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare. FULL SCHEDULE WILL BE PUBLISHED later in 2016, but will include our usual location tours, as well as some great music acts, competitions and pub sessions.

A Festival of all things Father Ted. Daytime entertainment and craic for all the family, and night-time entertainment for adults only.
Tickets will include ALL events and activities on the relevant days and nights, including the Location Tour and tea and cakes at the Father Ted house. Night time entertainment (after 9pm) is included in all adult day and weekend tickets. Adult tickets from €35.
Tickets will go on sale online in January 2017. Location tours including tea and cakes at the Father Ted Festival only available as part of day and weekend tickets, purchased in advance. Tickets for the Lovely Girls event on Saturday night will be on sale online the week before the event, and may be bought on the door for €10 (subject to availability).
Here’s what to expect:
Friday 28 April
go on the location tour and a visit to the Parochial House with tea and cakes, or just ease yourself into the weekend of Father Ted madness with a Friday night of music, dancing and quiz questions
Saturday 29 April
recover from the night before with a late breakfast, then get ready for the tour of the local Father Ted locations and the all important visit to the Parochial House, with tea and cakes served by the real Mrs Doyle…and when you get back, there will be MORE DRINK , music and outdoor and indoor scrabble and other games to keep you going, until the famous Priests and Nuns karaoke and fancy dress- wear your best costume, sing your favourite song, AND win a fabulous prize for doing it! Then it will be time for the Mad, Bad, Lovely Girls contest..entrants are welcome, so long as they have a lovely frock to wear, followed by music late into the night.
Sunday 30 April
There may be sore heads today, so start it out very quietly…things will start to liven up with our Sunday tours and music from lunchtime. In the evening it’s the turn of the truly holy in the Golden Cleric awards, where we will find out who is the Cleric of the Year. Later in the evening there will be more live music and loads of craic to finish off the weekend with a bang!
Getting Here: There is a scheduled Bus Eireann bus service to Lisdoonvarna from Galway and Ennis 5 times a day, 7 days a week. These services also link with bus and train services from Shannon Airport, Limerick and Dublin.

What to Wear?: There will be a shop selling Father Ted related items all weekend, including nuns and priests outfits, character masks, t-shirts and other fantastic items….
