Father Ted Festival 2019

THE FESTIVAL IN 2019 IS ON THE MAY BANK HOLIDAY, FRIDAY 3 May – SUNDAY 5 May 2019 in Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare.  FINAL SCHEDULE is below

Priests-and-nuns-gatherA Festival of all things Father Ted. Daytime entertainment and craic for all the family, and night-time entertainment for adults only.

General Admission Tickets cost €25 and include all events and activities in the Burren Storehouse and Roadside Tavern on Friday night and Saturday from 6pm to 2am, and on Sunday (see schedule below).  Tea and cakes at Father Ted’s costs €10pp and can be purchased separately (these tickets do not include transport, driving time from Lisdoonvarna is approximately 30 minutes).  A limited number of return tickets for the ferry from Doolin to Inis Oirr are available at a discounted rate of €18 (driving time to Doolin is 15 minutes)

12-1pm Registration for ticket holders

1pm Tea and cakes at Father Ted’s House (transport not included)

7pm onwards Registration for ticket holders

7.30pm Big screen showings: Best of Dermot Morgan (Ted), Frank Kelly (Jack) and Pat Laffan (Pat Mustard); Documentary footage of cast and scriptwriters

9.30pm -12 Music with the Spinmaster

10pm-12.30am Priests and Nuns Dance Off, and spot prizes for Father Ted related questions

Saturday 4 May

1pm-3pm Tea and cakes at Father Ted’s house (transport not included)

1pm-4.45pm Ferry from Doolin to Inis Oirr (transport to Doolin not included)

4pm onwards Registration for ticket holders

4pm Big screen showings: Best of Dermot Morgan (Ted), Frank Kelly (Jack) and Pat Laffan (Pat Mustard); Documentary footage of cast and scriptwriters

6pm Matchmaking with world famous local matchmaker Willie Daly, get your names in early!

8pm All Priests and Nuns Karaoke and Fancy Dress contest with fabulous prizes!

10pm-2am Lovely Girls contest followed by DJ Frankie Fortune til late, entries for Lovely Girls contest welcome up to 9pm!

Sunday 5 May

from 1pm tea and cakes at Father Ted’s house

1pm-4.45pm Ferry from Doolin to Inis Oirr (transport to Doolin not included)

2pm-6.30pm Big screen Premier League football

6.30pm Live music in the Burren Storehouse

9pm Live music in the Roadside Tavern

Getting Here: There is a scheduled Bus Eireann bus service to Lisdoonvarna from Galway and Ennis 5 times a day, 7 days a week.  These services also link with bus and train services from Shannon Airport, Limerick and Dublin.

Where to Stay?  Information on all accommodation available in and around Lisdoonvarna is available on Visit Lisdoonvarna website.  There’s also loads of accommodation available in Ennistymon, which is 8km away, and Doolin, 5km away, or have a look on Discover Ireland.  Also worth checking out Air BnB
